NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the preliminary budget of the Town of Hartford for the fiscal year beginning January 1, 2025, including general town funds, highway funds, fire protection district funds, light district funds, and exemption summary has been completed and filed in the office of the Town Clerk of the Town of Hartford, 165 Hartford Main Street, where it is available for inspection by any interested person during office hours.
The Town Board of the Town of Hartford shall hold a public hearing on said preliminary budget at its regular monthly meeting to be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2024 at 7:05 p.m. at the Town Hall, showing such changes, alterations and revisions as shall have been made therein by the Town Board of the Town of Hartford. At such hearing, any person may be heard in favor of or against the preliminary budget as compiled or for or against any item or items therein contained. Copies of the preliminary budget are available prior to the meeting from the Town Clerk during normal business hours.
The following are the proposed year 2025 salaries of certain Town Officers of the Town of Hartford:
Supervisor $ 6,121.00
Councilpersons (4) $ 1,544.00 each
Town Clerk $39,696.00
Highway Superintendent $56,306.00
Town Justice $ 9,337.00

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that, pursuant to Town Law section 184(2), a public hearing will be held at the Town Hall, Town of Hartford, New York, on the 5th day of November, 2024, at 7:10 p.m. to discuss the proposed contract between the Town and the Hartford Volunteer Fire Co., Inc. and that an opportunity
to be heard in regard thereto will then and there be given to the public.
Said contract provisions include, but are not limited to, a description of the services to be provided to the Town, the compensation to be paid by the Town for such services and the term of the contract.

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that a public hearing will be held by the Town Board of the Town of Hartford on August 13, 2024 at 7:05 p.m. at the Offices of the Town of Hartford, 165 Hartford Main Street, Hartford, New York, to discuss a proposed Local Law IMPOSING A LIMITED LARGE SCALE SOLAR ENERGY GENERATING FACILITY LAND USE MORATORIUM. An opportunity to be heard in regard thereto will then and there be given to all interested persons. The proposed local law would impose a moratorium providing that no site plan application shall be reviewed or approved by the Planning Board and no permits shall be issued by the Enforcement Officer with respect to large scale solar energy generating facilities, hereby defined as non-farm large scale solar systems having a rated nameplate capacity of greater than 12 kW DC for sale to utility companies or for other commercial use. The moratorium would have an initial term of one (1) year from the date of its adoption and may be extended for up to two (2) additional periods not exceeding six (6) months each by resolution of the Town Board upon a finding of necessity for such extension. The local law also provides a procedure for relief from the moratorium on the grounds of unusual hardship or circumstances that would deprive a property owner of the reasonable use of land. A copy of the aforesaid local law is on file in the Town Clerk’s Office, 165 Hartford Main Street, Hartford, New York.
