NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON THE

PRELIMINARY BUDGET OF THE TOWN OF HARTFORD

FOR THE YEAR 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the preliminary budget of the Town of Hartford for the fiscal year beginning January 1, 2024, including general town funds, highway funds, fire protection district funds, light district funds, and exemption summary has been completed and filed in the office of the Town Clerk of the Town of Hartford, 165 Hartford Main Street, where it is available for inspection by any interested person during office hours.

The Town Board of the Town of Hartford shall hold a public hearing on said preliminary budget at its regular monthly meeting to be held on Tuesday, October 10, 2023 at 7:05 p.m. at the Town Hall, showing such changes, alterations and revisions as shall have been made therein by the Town Board of the Town of Hartford.  At such hearing, any person may be heard in favor of or against the preliminary budget as compiled or for or against any item or items therein contained.  Copies of the preliminary budget are available prior to the meeting from the Town Clerk during normal business hours.

The following are the proposed year 2024 salaries of certain Town Officers of the Town of Hartford:

Supervisor                               $  6,121.00

Councilpersons (4)                  $  1,544.00 each

Town Clerk                             $36,756.00

Highway Superintendent         $54,666.00

Town Justice                           $  9,065.00

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that, pursuant to Town Law section 184(2), a public hearing will be held at the Town Hall, Town of Hartford, New York, on the 10th day of October, 2023, at 7:00 p.m. to discuss the proposed contract between the Town and the Hartford Volunteer Fire Co., Inc. and that an opportunity to be heard in regard thereto will then and there be given to the public.

Said contract provisions include, but are not limited to, a description of the services to be provided to the Town, the compensation to be paid by the Town for such services and the term of the contract.
